Things I love about this recipe: 1) you probably have all the ingredients on hand at any given time, 2) it’s cheap, 3) it takes no time, and 4) no more jars of pasta sauce going bad in your fridge!
1 can tomato sauce
1 tbsp butter or olive oil
1 1/2 tsp Italian seasonings
1/2 tsp sea salt
1/2 tsp sugar
Black pepper (optional; to taste)
Combine all ingredients in a small saucepan on stove over medium-low heat. Stir until heated through. To serve: Use on pizzas, as a dipping sauce (toasted raviolis or mozzarella sticks), or over fresh raviolis or meatballs.
